On a very cold blustery Friday, February 26th, Ms. Karen Zuidema, Director of Community Tennis USTA New England, and Matt Olson, Executive Director USTA New England, made a visit to Peter Igo Park in person to check out all of the new improvements. During their visit, Ms. Shane Kelly (aka Coach K), and Bud Duksta, MTC President, arranged meetings with Scott Madden, Marshfield High School Athletic Director, and Ms. Kathleen Newcomb, Executive Director of Marshfield Boys and Girls Club.
As a result of these meetings, several opportunities were discussed involving the USTA that could greatly benefit the residents of Marshfield. More to come...
The GATRA bus service will now add Peter Igo Park to the list of stops on the bus route so kids and adults alike all over Marshfield will be able to get over to the park.
